Before joining Fabric, I spent nearly seven years at Accenture and IBM. Working at large organisations gave me a deep appreciation for structured systems and refined processes. But I found myself craving something more dynamic, somewhere I could create a direct and tangible impact. Fabric’s scale and mindset felt like the right fit. It’s a place where agility and innovation come naturally, and I love the sense of ownership that comes with that.
It starts with prioritising the day’s tasks, responding to candidate messages, reviewing applications, chatting with candidates, scheduling interviews, and syncing with hiring managers. I also spend time tracking recruitment data, negotiating offers, and aligning with business stakeholders on hiring plans. There’s also our daily TA catch-up, which keeps things moving smoothly. No two days are exactly alike, and that’s part of what keeps it exciting.
I didn’t plan for a career in People and Talent, but I’ve always been curious about what makes teams thrive. When I stepped into a HRBP/Recruiter role about a decade ago, I saw how the right leadership and opportunities could completely shift someone’s motivation and confidence. That lit a spark for me. It’s not just about filling roles, it’s about shaping careers, helping people grow, and building strong, high-performing teams.
People often think it's just about filling vacancies, but it’s actually a lot more strategic. Great TA work is like detective work 🕵️ you dig into career stories, ask the right questions, and find the right fit, not just for now but for the long haul. It’s about understanding the company’s culture and long-term vision, building talent pipelines, and crafting great candidate experiences. When done right, it’s proactive, not reactive.
We’ve been expanding into new regions, and I led talent development in the Philippines and reactivated hiring in China. It involved deep research into local labour laws, talent trends, and capabilities. The goal was to ensure our hiring process remained smooth and compliant and it’s been fulfilling to see those efforts translate into successful hires.
My role is that of a puzzle solver 🧩 Every role and every person is a piece. I focus on finding the fit that makes the bigger picture complete.
Don’t just think about filling today’s role, think long-term. Great recruitment is about building strong, future-ready teams. Strategic hiring always beats reactive hiring.
Over the last 1.5 years, I’ve helped scale Fabric’s headcount considerably as an initial member of the TA team. I had the opportunity to build the function from scratch, implementing new ATS and sourcing tools, streamlining processes, and laying the foundation for sustainable hiring practices.
Nature is my go-to. A long walk or sitting in the sun with a cup of tea and my favourite playlist does wonders.
Growth. It’s been dynamic, rewarding, and full of learning.
