Fabric opens Dalian office
4 March 2011
Fabric is consolidating its expansion into China. The new office in the city of Dalian, a wholly owned foreign entity, addresses the increasing demand for development. The premises are conveniently located in the leading edge technology precinct of the city. Chief Operating Officer Simon Greed said, "this is one of the most exciting growth periods of our business. We’ve chosen Dalian for our new operation because it meets our strategic and commercial requirements moving forward".
Dalian is a Level 2 city the size of Melbourne and has a primary focus on technology. "The sheer scale of its technology parks is amazing and through our recent trips we have secured a lease in Ascendas Park, which will initially accommodate a development team of about 6 senior engineers", continued Simon Greed, stressing that, "Our primary focus here is to build a team of talented and high quality developers who will work in a distributed agile environment with our teams in Melbourne, Sydney and Shanghai". He said that once the office is operating at full capacity some obvious cost efficiencies will be achieved which will be passed onto the customer.
